Web Depot Makeover

Web Depot has expanded to include standards and templates for electronic communications beyond the Web. Check out the social networking guidelines, PowerPoint standards, and the standards and templates for mass e-mail.

New!

E-mail Standards and HTML E-mail Templates

Primarily for mass e-mail, these standards and templates will help you create more effective e-mail communications.

Improved!

Web Standards and Web Templates

All the standards and templates from Web Depot are still here, they're just packaged a little differently.

Template Updates

Firefox 3—The recent release of Firefox 3.0 necessitated a slight fix to the style sheet. See the Template Change Log for details.

The 'smooth image resizing' feature with this new version of Firefox has revealed a flaw in the all-CSS template structure. If you 'zoom out' (decrease the size of the page), the heading graphic no longer fits within the page boundaries and drops below the left navigation. Our expert coding gophers are at work on this problem day and night, but would take any kind offers of assistance.

Changes made to Web or e-mail template coding can be found on the Template Change Log. E-mail webdepot@umn.edu with any questions or suggestions.

Show Off Your Digital Communications

Web sites—E-mail the link to your Web site design using the new Web templates. We'll add your site to the list of template users.

HTML e-mail—Send in your HTML e-mail using the e-mail templates to showcase your solution with the University community.

Web and e-mail publishing checklists

Use these checklists to make sure you know the basics before you publish a Web site or send your mass e-mail.
